Batty About Bulbs

It’s a good time of year for planting crocus and daff bulbs into your lawn.

The trick to making it look natural is to throw a handful of bulbs onto your chosen area of turf, and then plant them
exactly where they’ve fallen, resisting the compulsion to “space them out a bit more evenly”.

For most impact, choose lawn areas that can be seen from the house in Winter, and that you don’t mind leaving a bit tatty for 6 weeks in Spring when the daffodil leaves die back (before you mow over them).
