After 15 fantastic years in the corporate world, I swapped high heels for site boots and headed outside.
Having been accepted into the prestigious London College of Garden Design (LCGD) at beautiful Kew Gardens in London (UK) , I honed my skills working in London, the South East of England and South Africa.
These days I’m focussed on transforming outdoor spaces into beautiful, practical gardens in Melbourne, Australia.
And it’s always interesting: One day we’re designing a super-practical ‘zoned’ garden for a multi-generational family; the next it’s working with an architect to co-design a sophisticated indoor-outdoor entertainment area for a couple who plan to build their home from scratch.
Being in such a symbiotic industry, we also enjoy working with and for other landscape professionals to bring their clients’ visions to life, be it through concept design, CAD modelling, technical detailing, plant design, or occasionally helping build and plant up show gardens.
Whatever the brief, I love designing spaces that bring my clients and their families JOY and give them opportunities to make memories, surrounded by the natural beauty we are so privileged to enjoy.
And before you ask, I only rarely miss the heels!
